FBN RI Tabanan, PPAD Tabanan Promote HeaLthy Living and Kartini’s Spirit Through Fun Bike
FBN-RI.com – TABANAN | The Tabanan Branch of the Indonesian Army Veterans Association (DPC PPAD) and the Tabanan Chapter of the Forum for National Defense of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD FBN RI) held a Fun Bike and group exercise in Tabanan City on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
The event began with a Fun Bike route around Tabanan City, followed by a group exercise session attended enthusiastically by veterans’ families and the general public.
Attending the event were the Third Assistant to the Tabanan Regional Secretary representing the Regent of Tabanan, the Chief of Staff of Military District Command 1619/Tabanan, the Head of Operations of the Tabanan Police, and representatives from the Tabanan National Unity and Politics Agency.
Chairman of DPD FBN RI Bali, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Nyoman Salindra, said the Fun Bike and mass exercise served as a strategic moment to instill healthy living awareness among the public.
“More than that, commemorating World Health Day alongside Kartini Day is an important momentum to strengthen awareness of gender equality,” Salindra said.
He added that R.A. Kartini remains an inspiration for women. “The spirit of ‘Out of Darkness Comes Light’ reflects the struggle for emancipation and equal rights so women can be independent,” he said.
The activity also aimed to strengthen ties and solidarity among members of DPC PPAD and DPD FBN RI Tabanan.
Chairman of DPC PPAD Tabanan, Maj. (Ret.) Oktavianus Rona, echoed the sentiment. He said the collaboration reflects veterans’ solidarity in contributing positively to the community while promoting a healthy lifestyle.
The event ran in an orderly manner, starting with the Fun Bike around Tabanan City, followed by group exercise, and closing with karaoke entertainment to boost camaraderie among participants.
